DIGATEX awarded ISO/IEC27001 and ISO/IEC20000-1 accreditation
for Information Security, Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection

IT security, cybersecurity and privacy protection is a vital requirement for any organisation operating in today’s digital world.  The ISO/IEC27000 family of standards provides a framework to help keep them safe.  ISO/IEC27000 and ISO/IEC20000-1 are the world’s best-known standards for information security management systems (ISMS).

DIGATEX have utilised Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to process over 2 million engineering documents (P&ID’s, isometrics, GA’s, SLD’s, loops, MRB’s, Schedules etc.) and many more pages; we have extracted more than 12 million tags and associated data for customers around the world.  In the five years since the company was founded over 90% of customers have placed further projects with DIGATEX because we are tried, tested and trusted.

Putting our internal systems, processes and safety measures through their paces with the ISO/IEC examiners and gaining this accreditation helps us demonstrate to our customers and all our stakeholders that DIGATEX is a ‘safe pair of hands’ and their ‘trusted partner of choice’ for all their data transformation requirements.

Key benefits:

  • Secure information in all formats from paper-based to cloud and digital data

  • Increased resilience to cyber-attacks

  • Protects the integrity, confidentiality and availability of data

  • Provides a centrally managed framework securing information in one place

  • Organisation-wide protection, including against technology-based risks and other threats

  • Responds to evolving security threats

  • Reduces costs and spending on ineffective defence technology

Richard Beck, Operations Director, DIGATEX says “Gaining these accreditation standards confirms to our clients that not only do we deliver outstanding products and service, but we do so in a secure environment.”

Mark Gardiner, Projects Director, DIGATEX says “ISO/IEC27000 and ISO/IEC20000-1 accreditation demonstrates to our clients that we have a robust and consistent approach to all our projects and that their data’s security is of the utmost importance to us.”

Global Inventory Sharing in Action with DIGATEX

Last week two oil and gas operators, each on the other side of the world, transacted their first global inventory trade using DIGATEX’s world leading inventory sharing platform, Inventory Hub.  James, sitting in his home office outside Aberdeen, Scotland, received an urgent request from the maintenance team for a critical operating spare.  The materials management team didn’t have the part in the warehouse and the supplier was out of stock.  A quick search in the DIGATEX Inventory Hub found the exact part in a Darwin warehouse on the other side of the world.  A click of the mouse triggered a request to the nominated contact person in Australia.  Within minutes a transaction was made and the critical spare part was dispatched on a flight from Darwin to the North Sea.

In a decade hallmarked by massive change, industry collaboration and inventory sharing has never been more important.  Sharing inventory across operators keeps assets producing longer and significantly reduces the cost of holding stock.

DIGATEX are leading the way to help Oil and Gas Operators around the world minimize business risk and significantly reduce costs by sharing critical inventory.

Artificial Intelligence & Digitalization Day Enabling 4.0 ADNOC Sour Gas, Abu Dhabi

JULY 2019

It has been broadly recognised that the Oil & Gas Industry has lagged somewhat behind other sectors in recent years when it comes to digitalization.

ADNOC’s integrated 2030 strategy is to transform the way value is maximised from every barrel of oil and help meet the world’s growing demand for energy.  As part of this strategy ADNOC Sour Gas is exploring innovative methods across the entire value chain to improve operational performance in its upstream and downstream assets to gain competitive advantage in the future and deliver a more sustainable and economic gas supply.

A key component of this strategy is to work collaboratively with partners to foster better knowledge sharing and enable the co-development of cutting edge intellectual property and technology.  Today’s event for ADNOC Sour Gas employees and invited guests from other Opco’s was a practical example of how ADNOC is actively pursuing this goal.

Mr Fahad Al Wahedi, Acting Vice President of Technical & Engineering Services delivered the opening address and DIGATEX were honoured to contribute to the day alongside Siemens, Wood, IBM, Emerson and Landmark Haliburton.

Robert Frow, shared some practical examples of how DIGATEX has been using its AI platform (DI-analytics) to help similar companies in the Resources Sector transform legacy data and documents, resolving engineering data business problems that, in many instances, have created a barrier to faster adoption of Digitalization.

We look forward to further collaborative working with ADNOC and its partners.  For further information please contact Robert.frow@digatex.com or our Marketing Director, louise.webb@digatex.com
